Vitamin Supplements
Vitamins are necessary for life. Supplementing with vitamins can help prevent nutritional deficiencies, aids in growth, nerve function and digestion. Overall, vitamins contribute to good health and also help with weight loss.
Vitamins A, D, E and K (soluble) are stored in the body until they are needed. If you have any excess vitamin C or B-Complex (water soluble), they are removed from the body via the kidneys.
Vitamins A, C, D, E, K, B-Complex (includes niacin, riboflavin, thiamine, B6, B12, pantothenic acid, folic acid, and biotin) are the essential vitamins that your body needs to turn the food you eat into energy.
Minerals are also needed to keep your cells and tissues growing and maintained. Your body needs a good amount of magnesium, potassium, sodium, calcium, phosphorus, sulfur and chlorine. Trace minerals are also needed, but in much smaller amounts. These include copper, iron, iodine, selenium, zinc, fluorine, cobalt, chromium, manganese and molybdenum.
